Airborne contamination has always been a serious problem in our society, in fact there are many diseases transmitted by air .
Meningitis, diphtheria, tuberculosis, measles, rubella, mumps, to get to the simple flu, colds and the new forms of flu that have arisen in recent years. In some environments the problem of airborne diffusion is particularly critical, normally we can consider all those environments where there is a strong concentration or turnover of people (public places, meeting places, schools, kindergartens, etc.), or healthcare or surgical environments . STERILAIR Pro is a device studied, designed and produced for dental use 20 years ago, with the logic of creating an extremely performing device thanks to UV-C mercury vapor discharge lamps tested for the abatement of volatile biological particles for a lifetime 9000 hours , with a simple and intuitive use, completely programmable, and with no maintenance.

 







STERILAIR Pro is equipped with 4 lamps (which are the agent for the active treatment), enclosed in a special reflecting chamber and this ensures the maximum biological result. We have also adopted a self-cleaning filter (up to 2000 hours) to block dust and microparticles avoiding the use of other filters that slow down the air flow and require periodic maintenance.

Studied and built with an innovative design, STERILAIR PRO allows to overcome the problems of direct and indirect exposure to short wavelength ultraviolet rays (UVC 254 nm) offering the possibility of continuous use even in the presence of people without any risk for the latter.

The great advantage of this system consists in the absolute lack of danger for humans as there is not the slightest leakage of UV-C radiation from the equipment and no ozone is produced.


Operation is based on a closed cycle forced ventilation system. The air sucked in by STERILAIR Pro first passes through a dust filter positioned in the inlet, which has the purpose of blocking the coarsest pollutants, giving a first purification to the air. Subsequently, the air enters the irradiation chamber in direct contact with mercury vapor tubes which, thanks to the emission of UV-C radiation, perform the maximum germicidal action. The air is expelled from the outlet, thus determining the microbiological abatement.


THE MAXIMUM ADVANTAGE OF STERILAR PRO is that it can carry out continuous and constant disinfection of the air in any environment, during every working phase and in the presence of operators. Sterilair PRO operation

Sterilair PRO sucks air from the surrounding environment up to 120 m 3 in 1 hour , conveys it to the 4 Philips UVC lamps which, thanks to their germicidal power, treat the air before being reintroduced into circulation. We use mercury vapor lamps for their very high performance and because the radiations emitted are absolutely safe for humans .

On / off timer

The device is equipped with a programmable weekly timer that allows to treat the air of the office even before the arrival of operators and patients. This makes the work area perfectly safe right from the start. In addition, the shutdown can also be set to avoid unnecessary energy waste (such as at night or on weekends) and to increase the duration of the benefits of Sterilair PRO . With the integrated and programmable timer you can forget you have it, but he will never forget about you!

 

Controlled ultraviolet radiation


There are various methods to decontaminate the air , for example free ultraviolet radiation, chemical methods that use iodoforms, chlorhexidine, or quaternary ammonium derivatives or nebulized with special equipment. Although these techniques are considered effective, they have a temporary effect, in fact their use is relegated to moments in which there is an absence of operators and an absolute state of inactivity.
The most suitable and absolutely most effective method is certainly the use of ultraviolet radiation at a controlled wavelength . This has an intense microbicidal and virulicidal activity against numerous microorganisms. It works by blocking the reproductive capacity of microorganisms by altering their chromosomes.
